Note 1Killed steeple-chasing in India while working there with Ralli Brothers. His christening medallion was recovered at a car-boot sale in Dorset by Sheila Gale and a scanned image sent to CAL in June 2004.
Note 2Almost four years later the same medallion, now much damaged, along with similar family items and medals, was being hawked around for sale by another trader.
