Note 1Died of meningitis from her wartime service as a nurse on the Western Front. She and her sisters (Mrs Angeliki Galati and Mrs Calliope Constantinidi) were members of the Committee of Greek Women of Paris.
Note 2Her WWl hospital in 1917 was ‘Temporary Hospital 34, Postal District 15, Zuydcoote, France’. Her death in France is recorded on her sister’s family tomb (Galati) at West Norwood Cemetery.
Note 3Awarded the Croix-de-Guerre. The commander of 9è Armée awarded her a second Croix-de-Guerre on her death-bed in 1917. Her cousin Maria Panas (née Balli) headed a nursing team including “Mlles d’Haussonville, Murat, Wasender, Ansart, [Fanny] Kessisoglu”.

Note 5... Depuis le début de la guerre actuelle, elle n'avait pas cessé de se prodiguer des soins dans les hôpitaux militaires temporaires. C'est là qu'elle a contracté le mal qui l'a emportée.”
