Note 1(Katsaros) Yvonne Sugdury thinks, perhaps, that her mother was Catherine Negroponte. Argenti, however, lists no unmarried woman by this name who would be child-bearing in 1770.
Note 2The 1856 Marseille census says that Alexandra was at 20 Allées des Capucines. The property-owner was her daughter Franga, a widow of 55, living with her daughter Marie and Theodore Sechiari, a merchant aged 30 [Maria's husband] and their three children...
