Note 1(Chaviara-Axeskoufotos) Argenti, Sturdza and Burke’s do not record her marriage to D. S. Constantinidi. Greek Church records give Constantinides’ wife as Julia (Stephen D.) Ralli then aged 20.
Note 2At the time of her first marriage her father’s allowance of £2-3,000 pa was 10 times that of her husband. In June 1896 she met Dr Lance who was caring for her sick father in Kent.
Note 3In 1901 she travelled to Dakota, USA, to acquire American nationality and the dissolution of her first marriage. A British court ordered her to pay £25,000 damages to Dimitrios.
