Note 1Worked with A. Mavrogordato and J. T. Ralli for the Bank of Turkey in Constantinople (est. 1858). Founding president of the Bank of Constantinople established 10 Apr 1872. In 1894 it was incorporated into La Société Ottomane de Change et de Valeurs.
Note 2He was also a partner in the Austro-Turkish Bank along with Stephanos A. Ralli and George (Ioannis) Zarifi. A general director of the Société Générale de l’Empire Ottoman founded in 1864.
Note 3Chosen, with Herocles Vassiadis, to convey the congratulations of the Greek Community of Constantinople to Queen Amalia of Greece on her safe deliverance from an assassination attempt in 1860.
Note 4In 1861 Antonios Vlasto and Herocles Vassiadis were among the founders of the Greek Philological Syllogos of Constantinople, the most important Greek educational society in the Ottoman Empire until its dissolution by the Turkish Nationalists in 1923.
