Note 1Left Constantinople on the day it fell, 29 May 1453. He and two of his brothers, Sergio and Marcantonio, sailed to Chios and soon moved on to Crete.
Note 2In about 1500 the three brothers were invited to the Ionian Islands by the Venetian Republic. He settled on the island of Leucade where his family still exists.
