Note 1Her cousin Archdeacon Robert Long owned a silver teapot with his crest on it which, according to Noël Long (writing to CAL in 1974) passed to his “youngest daughter Dorothy” who became a good friend to Noël and left her many of her “nice things”.
Note 2In turn Noël gave this teapot to Christopher Long as a wedding present in 1973. However was she mistaken when she referred to a Dorothy who is not known to have been a daughter of Robert Long?
