Note 1(Vlachou) Presumably the founder/head of the firm D. E. Rodocanachi of Manchester, a semi-autonomous branch of the inter-dependent Rodocanachi trading houses. Was he the Dimitrios Rodocanachi, merchant of London mentioned in the Bankruptcy Records 1874?
Note 2A portrait of him was said, by Pavlos Sgouidis, to be in the possession of his uncle Dimitrios Pantaleon in 2003.
