Note 1(Chaviara-Axeskoufotos) Laid the foundation stone at St Sophia Church, London, in 1877. Pan-Hellenic Calendar Journal: "The Patriarch of the Greeks in this place... this man's name will be related to that church for centuries."
Note 2Founded Ralli Bros in 1818 with his brother John. This, gazetted in 1826 as of 25 Finsbury Circus, London, grew into one of the greatest international trading houses and merchant banks with estates, warehouses and shipping fleets throughout the world.
Note 3One of the founders in 1842, with Alexander Constantine Ionides, Antonius Theodore Ralli and John Stephen Scilizzi, of the first dedicated cemetery for the London Greek community at West Norwood, London.
Note 4In 1858 he was a founding member of the Baltic Exchange in London. This consisted of an original 87 merchants, 13 Russian brokers, 2 Russian merchants, 4 'gentlemen' and 3 shipbrokers.
Note 4His 1875 mausoleum, designed by Edward Middleton Barry, at West Norwood Cemetery is a Grade ll listed monument. One of the three trustees who signed the contract on 1849 for the land on which the Greek Church at London Wall was built.
Note 4Officer of the Order of The Saviour. On 26-03-1868 Mary Ann Chadwell describes driving ‘with Mrs Peter Ralli's children to Putney to see the grounds of Mrs E. Ralli. Beautiful views over Wimbledon common’.
OccupationHe headed the Manchester branch of Ralli Brothers and on the death of his brother Pandia (‘Zeus’) became the patriarch of the Greek community in Britain.

Note 1(Vitella) She funded (£5,000) the Arthur Walker mosaic interior decoration of the dome at St Sophia, Bayswater, London - the work began in 1891. Birth date according to "Adventure Account" which describes her as being "a ravishing teenager".
Note 2Came to England as a child before the Massacres of Chios. Her father was one of Britain’s wealthiest merchants. She was highly educated and closely followed the business affairs of Ralli Bros.
